Lincoln bicycle committee reports strong Ballfield Road pilot, advances trail project. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee heard that the Ballfield Road slip-lane closure, in its second week, generated no complaints from the Lincoln middle school. Walk Bike Roll to School event drew 60 children on bicycles and two on class-2 electric bikes, consistent with prior-year participation.
Committee member Margaret is bringing the Mill Street to Bedford Road trail connection to the Transportation Coalition for consideration of opening conservation-land sections to bicycles. Committee member John Mendelson is considering stepping down; the committee is recruiting his replacement and a new chair.
