Board of Health discusses rodenticide safety, disease trends

Lincoln Board of Health reviews rodenticide concerns and disease surveillance. Save Lincoln Wildlife presented concerns about secondary and first-generation anticoagulant rodenticides and the Board agreed to explore an educational collaboration campaign. The group is considering a Home Rule petition at Town Meeting.
Regional opioid settlement community engagement has exceeded participation goals, with 101 Lincoln responses of 954 total regional responses and approximately 50 percent reporting personal impact from the opioid epidemic. The Board received updates on elevated influenza activity in Massachusetts with 33 deaths including four pediatric cases; Lincoln has reported 48 flu cases and 26 COVID cases since October 1.
