LINCOLN — Three Lincoln boards finalized two Library heating options for October 24 voter decision. Finance Committee Chair Paul Blanchfield recommended borrowing $1.2 million over 20 years if voters choose a ground source heat pump system, creating $100,000 in annual levy impact, versus a boiler-only replacement at approximately $330,000. Community Preservation Committee Chair Eric Zimmerman voted to support both options and $2.466 million in CPA borrowing, which would increase CPA debt service from 30 percent to 46 percent of annual revenues if the heat pump passes.
Public information sessions follow on October 5 and October 13.
