BPAC addresses stalled boardwalk, monitors state initiatives

Lincoln bicycle committee addressed a stalled conservation trail project while monitoring state-level proposals affecting bikes and pedestrians. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee acknowledged the Conservation Department's failed effort to secure Community Preservation Committee funding for a Mount Misery boardwalk on Route 117, with members committing to stronger advocacy at future CPC meetings. The committee endorsed pursuing speed camera enforcement in the state budget and tasked Bob Wolf with seeking clarification from state legislator Ravi Simon on why the proposal limits single cameras to one per town.
The committee also discussed electric bike regulation concerns and met with State Representative Gentile on the Fitchburg Rail with Trail project.
