LINCOLN — Capital Planning Committee backs FY27 capital slate with fire engine prioritized. Chair Audrey Kalmus led the committee to a unanimous vote on the plan, designating the fire engine ($1,050,000) and DPW repair costs above guidance ($140,504) as preferred items while recommending a DPW excavator and LS electric control panel. The committee rejected a bucket truck as economically unviable.
Despite member disagreement over whether to trim building maintenance to fit all DPW requests, the final slate was approved without dissent.
