CFREE plans fall vegan dinner, expands community climate calendar

LINCOLN — The Lincoln CFREE working group discussed repeating its May vegan potluck dinner at Bemis with a fall harvest-themed edition and spring event at the forthcoming Community Center, while reviewing a May 16 bicycle drive at Wayland Town Center that collected over 200 bikes in collaboration with the Lowell Bicycle Connector and other regional partners. The group planned several 2026 community events on climate topics including presentations by Brandon Kelly on school solar production, Connected Solutions on home batteries, and an ISO-NE regional presentation on utility management and batteries. Fourth of July community outreach planning is underway with information tents planned.
