CFREE secures eight DOER grants for battery assessment

Lincoln CFREE secures eight state battery-assessment grants for town buildings. Scott Rodman helped Lincoln obtain eight Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources grants for the statewide "AMP" program, which will assess whether batteries could shift power consumption to low-cost periods yielding significant savings. The group unanimously approved prior meeting minutes.
Upcoming events include a March 30 FOMA/CFREE event with vegan hors d'oeuvres, a May 6 vegan potluck at Tom and Lucia Longnecker's home, and July 4th programming on electric vehicles and solar energy, with information forthcoming on National Grid's 250 million dollars in unused credits from customers with excess solar power.
