LINCOLN — The Roadway and Roadside & Traffic Committee approved prior minutes and reviewed a new traffic enforcement complaint form developed by Acting Chief Jon Wentworth and Officer Seth Rogan. Wentworth clarified the distinction between statutory and regulatory speed limits, noting Massachusetts is moving away from strict reliance on the 85th-percentile speed standard, potentially giving Lincoln more flexibility to lower speeds in residential areas. DPW Superintendent Steve Olson reported the Old Town Hall Crosswalk contract has expired but the contractor is willing to resume work pending a price review.
Ken Bassett requested a formalized maintenance plan for traffic islands and proposed a tree-planting project at Lincoln Station.
