Committee authorizes site regrade, approves $456,000 in furnishings

Lincoln community center committee unanimously authorizes $456,000 in furniture and appliance contracts. Co-chairs Jonathan Dwyer and Sarah Chester led approval of procurement contracts not to exceed $267,000 for furniture and $189,000 for kitchen appliances, with $77,806 allocated from contingency funds to cover overruns. The project continues with structural steel and exterior framing, while contractors were authorized to carry out east lawn regrading following removal of a wolf pine tree, with change orders totaling $2,310 to ICON Architecture and $4,500 to Hutter Construction.
The FLCOA fundraising subcommittee has raised $106,000 for items not funded by the construction budget.
