Conservation Commission accepts trail easement for Farrington Nature Link

Lincoln Conservation Commission and Select Board unanimously approve Farrington Nature Link trail easement. The Conservation Commission voted 4-0 and the Select Board voted 3-0 to accept a public trail easement as part of the $850,000 Farrington Nature Link approved by Town Meeting in June 2025. The easement, shown on a plan revised May 28, 2026, is located on land currently owned by Farrington Memorial Inc.

The land will be temporarily conveyed to the Rural Land Foundation before permanent transfer to the City of Cambridge for water supply. The town will hold two Conservation Restrictions and two Trail Easements as part of the project to protect approximately 65 acres.
