Conservation Commission issues enforcement order for unpermitted gravel road

Lincoln Conservation Commission unanimously approves tree removal and issues enforcement order. The six-member commission approved removal of 24 trees in a buffer zone at 44 Old Winter Street with conditions for mitigation plantings and two years of restoration monitoring, addressing applicant safety concerns about declining trees near a new home. In separate enforcement action, the Commission voted unanimously to issue an order requiring removal of a 250-foot unpermitted gravel road from 22 Old Cambridge Turnpike within 30 days after the property owner self-reported the access path constructed through a buffer zone and stream crossing.
The Commission also closed two 40-year-old permits for 70 Todd Pond Road and continued two major projects to July 1.
