Lincoln Conservation Commission streamlines tree removal permitting. The Commission voted unanimously on January 7 to amend its Tree Removal Policy, allowing landowners to request Commission permission for hazardous tree removals beyond the five-tree administrative limit rather than file full wetlands applications, a change that streamlines the process for properties with multiple removals. The revised policy also permits Conservation staff to administratively approve up to ten hazard tree removals per year from non-single-family properties.
In other business, the Commission unanimously issued an Enforcement Order requiring erosion restoration by June 1, 2026, on a property where an unpermitted drain had damaged the Buffer Zone restoration area.
