Council on Aging approves minutes, reviews housing and center plans

Lincoln Council on Aging reviews housing lottery, community center transition, and social services. Housing Commission will soon open a lottery for a vacant ADA-compliant subsidized unit prioritizing disabled tenants, with two applicants under Select Board interview for commission membership. Community Center construction is on schedule, and the Council is exploring grants from Plastic Free Restaurants and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection for sustainable dining equipment.
Social Services reported 81 residents received Fuel Assistance this year, down from 90, while property-tax-abatement households increased from 46 to 56; April is the application deadline for both programs.
