Dark Skies Committee advances lighting bylaws toward town warrant
Dark Skies Committee · Meeting of January 21, 2026
Lincoln Dark Skies Committee advances outdoor lighting bylaws toward warrant article. The seven-member Dark Skies Committee approved prior minutes and planned a January 27 meeting with the Planning Board to seek joint endorsement of a warrant article on lighting regulations. Committee member Sherry Haydock will audit town lights and, along with Buzz Constable, submit noncompliant-lighting documentation at the Commons to the building inspector by mid-February, while Kathleen Lomatoski develops a resident questionnaire on lighting.
The committee also discussed concerns about interior lighting at 12 Pine Ridge Road, which shines on nearby wetlands and vernal pools.
