Dark Skies Committee · Meeting of April 29, 2026

Lincoln Dark Skies Committee approves Scope of Work on municipal street lighting. The committee tasked Sherry Haydock with drafting a letter to Tim Higgins requesting a June meeting to present the proposal and will coordinate with Roy Harvey on scheduling. Susan Mygatt will review the document for legal and strategic considerations while Craig Nicholson pursues an update on public safety building lighting upgrades.

The committee will present grant writing results and lighting survey findings at its May 13 meeting and plans to roll out website updates including Rockport video, Kelvin graphs, and information on lighting effects on marine life and wildlife.
