Finance Committee updates on Community Center project, FY 2025 financial standing

Finance Committee · Meeting of May 11, 2026

LINCOLN — Finance Committee hears Community Center update, reviews FY 2025 results. Finance Director Colleen Wilkins reported the Community Center project is 27 percent spent at $7.2 million of a $26.4 million budget, remains on track financially, and is three months delayed; the Town expects no compensable costs. The Select Board voted to receive $1.345 million from Lincoln Friends of the Council on Aging by month's end, reducing borrowing needs.

Wilkins reported FY 2025 fund balance of $50.5 million, with unassigned fund balance at 31 percent of expenditures — above the policy target of 15 to 20 percent — and Free Cash certified at $11.655 million. The Town has $58.3 million in remaining borrowing capacity against a debt limit of $152.7 million.
