LINCOLN — Green Energy Committee approves prior minutes, skips embodied carbon comments to ICC. The committee voted unanimously to decline submitting comments to the Interstate Commerce Commission regarding embodied carbon standards, determining that changed ICC rules have eliminated municipal voting rights and that individual member input would lack sufficient weight; the $410 annual dues payment will not be renewed. Committee Chair Paul Shorb will request quantitative global warming emissions estimates from Power Options for both ground-source heat pump and gas-burning HVAC alternatives at the Library before the GEC decides whether to take a public position at its March meeting.
