LINCOLN — The Green Energy Committee voted unanimously to investigate solar battery integration at the Community Center. The motion addressed concerns that the existing solar system and its power purchase agreement were not designed for batteries or microgrids. Committee member Scott Rodman reported that Lincoln won state DOER funding for battery studies on eight buildings, with six studies completed to date.

Rodman noted the end of October deadline for state funding applications to install battery systems. Potential installation sites include Town Hall, Hartwell, and the Library, with Community Center eligibility still under discussion.
