Green Energy Committee · Meeting of July 16, 2026

LINCOLN — Green Energy Committee voted unanimously to request anonymized electricity usage data from Eversource for program planning and emissions monitoring. Committee member Rodman prompted the motion after noting that a competitor to Peregrine had provided similar data to another town. The vote follows the Select Board's July 13 approval of GEC-proposed modifications to the Lincoln Green Energy Choice program.

The board accepted the GEC recommendation to expand program investments beyond voluntary renewable energy credits, which currently collect over $300,000 per year. The board will notify participants about uncertainty regarding REC effectiveness and authorized Glass and Higgins to finalize public notice language. Two fund-holding mechanisms—a revolving fund and a stabilization fund—remain under investigation, with a decision expected by fall.
