LINCOLN — Housing Coalition advances Housing Action Plan to replace outdated 2014 policy. Rachel Drew reported the Housing Commission is securing a consultant to develop a Housing Production Plan, to be presented as a "Housing Action Plan" for use as a visioning and guidance tool rather than a directive to build specific units. The Affordable Housing Trust received $250,000 in Community Preservation Act funding recommended by CPC toward its approximately $2 million target, though Buck Creel noted the reduced amount reflects competing capital requests including library HVAC work.
The group discussed whether Lincoln might pursue state One Stop for Growth infrastructure grants, with Paula Vaughn-MacKenzie noting that prior state support for septic-related feasibility work demonstrated the Commonwealth's openness to small-town infrastructure needs tied to housing.
