Housing Commission reviews tenant issues, maintenance progress, and rental assistance coordination.

Housing Commission · Meeting of February 5, 2026

LINCOLN — Housing Commission reviews tenant issues and defers action plan vote. Co-Chair Rachel Drew led the virtual meeting, at which members discussed an ongoing rent delinquency in Unit #2 requiring formal notice and possible eviction; four of seven households had completed annual recertifications with two more in process. The Commission deferred a vote on a roughly $89,000 Metropolitan Area Planning Council proposal to develop a Housing Action Plan, requesting additional time to review state requirements and subcommittee scope.

Members approved January meeting minutes unanimously and advanced gas-to-electric stove replacements and an exterior painting project at six properties.
