Lincoln Housing Commission approved $50,000 for emergency mold remediation at duplex properties. The Affordable Housing Trust voted unanimously to authorize funding for comprehensive remediation work at two adjoining Sunnyside Road units after testing confirmed that extensive mold contamination had spread from basement crawl spaces into livable areas of both the vacant 28 Sunnyside property and occupied 26 Sunnyside unit. The authorized work included removal of damaged materials, structural repairs, and comprehensive waterproofing, with cost estimates ranging from $60,000 to $80,000.
The town's insurance covers up to $25,000 of remediation costs, with the Trust authorizing up to $50,000 net of insurance reimbursement.
