Library Lane Construction Continues to Complicate Access, Parking

LINCOLN — Ongoing construction on Lincoln Public Library's Library Lane is complicating access and parking at the library, with the town urging residents to build in extra travel time, while three community programs are set for the library on July 20.

The Lincoln Public Library says construction tied to what it is calling the "Lincoln Big Dig" continues to affect access to Library Lane and on-site parking. The library is directing residents to lincolnbigdig.com for updates and asking patrons to plan for additional travel time when visiting.

Separately, the library recently added four hotspots to its lending collection for patrons who want wifi on the go, and continues to offer Massachusetts State Park passes for checkout with a library card.

COMING UP

Three library programs are scheduled for Monday, July 20. "Craft & Chill: Vision Boards" offers a relaxed crafting session. "Mystery Mondays: Sleuths of a Certain Age" continues the library's mystery book discussion series, this session centered on "The Coroner's Lunch" by Colin Cotterill. And as part of the library's Lincoln250 programming marking America's 250th anniversary, independent historian Gracia Collins Rich will speak on the Black experience of the Revolution.
