Library Lane Construction Complicates Access, Parking at Library

LINCOLN — Ongoing construction along Library Lane is complicating access and parking at the Lincoln Public Library, and officials are urging patrons to plan for extra travel time while work continues.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Lincoln Public Library says construction near Library Lane is making it harder to reach the building and find parking, and it is directing residents to lincolnbigdig.com for updates on the project's progress.

The library is also marking two personnel and program milestones: Trustee Peter Sugar is stepping down from the Library Board of Trustees after his service, and the library has launched its second annual Seed Library. Submissions are also now open for the library's Virginia Rundell Award.

COMING UP

The library has a full slate over the next two days. On Tuesday, July 21, Beehive Art hosts "Popsicles, Printing & Watercolors" for kids (that session is already full), followed by a drop-in "Summer Movies and Muffins" screening for ages 2 and up. On Wednesday, July 22, the library's Knitting & Stitching Group meets for anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting, embroidery or hand needlework.
