LINCOLN — Library Trustees approve May 4 closure for staff development and safety training. Meeting on February 26 with four members present saw the Board vote unanimously to close the library from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, for annual professional development, including a safety and emergency response session with the Lincoln Police Department. The closure coincides with the Friends of the Lincoln Library's Staff and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

The Board also heard staffing updates: Tory Black was promoted to Assistant Circulation and Technical Services Supervisor effective February 25, and Jim McCaffrey was hired as a part-time custodian starting February 19.
