Lincoln commissions rule on four property determinations

Lincoln Historical and Historic District commissions unanimously approved four significance determinations and two certificates at a February 3 virtual meeting. Chair Andrew Glass and five other commissioners found that a 1940s shed at 99 Tower Rd. lacks historical importance and may be demolished, while the inventoried house at 145 Tower Rd. owned by Donald and Gina Halsted does possess significance and will be protected during their planned restoration and garage addition. The commissions also determined that buildings at 109 Page Road and 279 and 283 Cambridge Turnpike have no historical value.
The Historic District Commission unanimously approved a Certificate of Non-Applicability for roof work at 29 Lincoln Rd. and a Certificate of Appropriateness for alterations to Barn B at 58 Codman Rd., where Codman Community Farms will relocate its farm store.
