Community Center Building Committee · Meeting of July 22, 2026
Lincoln Community Center Building Committee approved a thirty-thousand-dollar bridge realignment while rejecting a partition change. Co-Chairs Jonathan Dwyer and Sarah Chester led the session, which authorized the bridge work unanimously with one abstention to protect adjacent vegetation, improve pedestrian and cyclist access, and increase flood storage. The committee voted 5 to 2 with one abstention against accepting a thirteen-hundred-thirty-one-dollar credit from Hutter Construction for switching toilet-partition support from ceiling-hung to floor-mounted design, citing concerns about contractor obligations and design precedent.
Building framing remained at 80 to 85 percent completion, with substantial completion targeted for December 16, 2026.
