Lincoln Library Honors Trustee Peter Sugar's Board Departure

Lincoln Public Library is honoring longtime Trustee Peter Sugar as he steps down from the Library Board of Trustees, the library announced this week. The departure comes as the library also rolls out several new offerings for patrons.

The Lincoln Public Library is marking the retirement of Trustee Peter Sugar from its Board of Trustees, according to a notice posted on the library's website. The library did not specify a date for a farewell event.

Separately, the library has launched its second annual Seed Library, giving patrons access to seeds for home gardening, and has opened submissions for the Virginia Rundell Award. The library also added four new WiFi hotspots to its lending collection, available for checkout with a library card, and reminded patrons it carries passes for Massachusetts State Parks, available through the Reference Desk at 781-259-8465.

COMING UP

The Lincoln Public Library has three programs scheduled for Wednesday, July 22: a Knitting & Stitching Group for anyone who enjoys knitting, crocheting, or embroidery; a hybrid Write Stuff writing group; and a Mad Science presentation, "Phenomenal Physics," for kids and families.
