Lincoln Select Board unanimously accepts $1.385M in Community Center donations. The Friends of the Lincoln Council on Aging presented $1,345,000, combining a prior $1,000,000 commitment with $345,000 raised through matching efforts, while the von Mertens family donated $40,000 to fund a rain garden removed from the original design due to cost increases. Town Administrator Tim Higgins reported that the Bedford Road drainage project is on schedule for completion in approximately the third week of June, with Phase 2 of the Lincoln Road water main project to follow.
Higgins also outlined a proposed six-month pilot program with Carlisle for shared building commissioner services at an anticipated annual fee of $55,000, pending Select Board approval of an intermunicipal agreement.
