Lincoln Select Board appoints patrol officer Andrew Davis and four conservation commissioners

LINCOLN — June 4, 2012 — Lincoln Select Board appoints new patrol officer and fills four Conservation Commission seats. The board on June 4 unanimously appointed Andrew Davis, formerly of the Boston University Police Department and a self-sponsored Lowell Police Academy graduate, as a full-time patrol officer on Chief Kevin Mooney's recommendation from a field of eight candidates. From seven applicants for four conservation seats, the board reappointed Ari Kurtz and Julie Dobrow to 2015 terms and named Robert Noah and Diana Boyden to terms expiring in 2014. Selectman Peter Braun told colleagues he will abstain from the June 5 School Building Committee vote submitting a roughly $50 million schematic design to the MSBA — leaving about $30 million in town liability at 40 percent state reimbursement — citing the board's neutrality and a pending McGuire Group repair-only analysis. Chair Noah Eckhouse reminded viewers the June 18 special town meeting on the Lincoln-Sudbury regional high school budget needs a 100-voter quorum.
