Mansfield elected Lincoln Board of Health chair; board addresses housing violations

Lincoln Board of Health elects Mansfield as required annual chair. Dr. Fred Mansfield was appointed chair by members Trish Miller and Dr.
Steven Kanner, who both voted in favor. State law requires the position to be designated annually. The Board also reviewed a comprehensive health equity assessment by the Great Meadows Public Health Collaborative across seven municipalities, identifying persistent disparities in mental health services, housing affordability, and access to preventive care.
Additionally, the Board discussed ongoing housing violations at Lincoln Woods Apartments, with Health Director Melanie Dineen confirming inspection procedures and compliance deadlines. A re-inspection is scheduled for early May.
