Parks and Recreation Committee votes to rebid tennis court work for fall.

Parks and Recreation Committee · Meeting of January 26, 2026

LINCOLN — Parks and Recreation Committee unanimously votes to rebid tennis court reconstruction for fall. The committee received a single bid that exceeded budget even after scope reductions, and will reopen bidding to encourage competition among contractors who typically avoid spring work. Chair Brianna Doo and members also approved the 2025 Annual Report and revised the camp financial aid registration process to prioritize equity, with outstanding family balances to be handled individually rather than through blanket policy.

Committee member David Onigman announced he will seek an elected seat, opening his appointed position.
