LINCOLN — Select Board voted to reinstate Police Chief Kennedy following nine-month investigation and certification restoration. The Board imposed conditions at its October 1 vote, including a reentry plan and performance reviews at six and twelve months, with regular Town Administrator check-ins; the decision was publicly announced at the October 5 meeting. The Board also voted unanimously to sign the October 24 Special Town Meeting warrant, which will feature competing proposals for a ground source heat pump system ($3.696 million net) or boiler replacement ($3.282 million) at the Lincoln Library.
Separately, the Board unanimously appointed Chris Brookens, a longtime Lincoln Public Schools employee, as a full-time firefighter to replace retiring 40-year veteran Joe Cavanaugh.
