LINCOLN — Select Board approves geothermal library HVAC planning ahead of town meeting. Chair Jennifer Glass, Member Kim Bodnar, and Member Jim Hutchinson voted unanimously to pursue a ground-source heat pump option for the Lincoln Public Library's 35-year-old boiler and aging air conditioning system, with the net cost estimated at approximately $2 million after applying a $1 million Climate Leader grant, federal tax credits, and MassSave rebates. Town Administrator Tim Higgins will coordinate with the Finance Committee and Community Preservation Committee to develop financing scenarios and prepare the grant application.
The Board also voted unanimously to open the warrant for the March 28, 2026 Annual Town Meeting and approved appointments of Colleen Crawford as Public Safety Dispatcher and three special police officers.
