LINCOLN — Select Board hears presentations on wildlife protection, water infrastructure, and Town Meeting reforms. Save Lincoln Wildlife requested the Board's support for a Home Rule Petition to ban anticoagulant rodenticides, noting that 18 Massachusetts towns have already passed similar measures. The Water, Public Works, and Public Safety Departments unveiled a two-phase water main replacement plan spanning 2026-2028, with 2026 work near the school and 2027 focusing on Lincoln Station, keeping at least one traffic lane open throughout.
The Town Meeting Study Committee presented draft recommendations for structured debate with separate pro and con microphones and allocated time limits, and reported that over 50% of residents get town news from Lincoln Talk compared to 9% from the official town website. The Board approved financial warrants for February 3, 2026 unanimously and expressed support for developing a board and committee handbook to improve member onboarding.
