LINCOLN — Transportation Coalition approves minutes, readies May slip lane closure. Chair Margaret Olson reported that the Ballfield Road slip lane closure and repaving recirculation plan has been presented to the Lincoln School Committee, with barrels, cones, and jersey barriers to be deployed during the week of May 4. Acting Chief Jon Wentworth noted that bus companies confirmed comfort with the change.
Mass Highway declined to lower Bedford Road speed limits after Lincoln Police recorded average speeds of 35 mph northbound and 37 mph southbound, instead recommending road design changes. The coalition recommended that Lincoln Public Schools deploy a Google Form for resident feedback on slip lane closure traffic impacts and that Acting Chief Wentworth solicit feedback from bus companies.
