Transportation Coalition approves minutes, updates 2026-2027 project schedule.

Transportation Coalition · Meeting of February 26, 2026

LINCOLN — Transportation Coalition approves schedule spanning water, drainage, and road projects through 2027. Tim Higgins presented the integrated plan, with Phase 2 of the Water Main Replacement Project beginning in June 2026 from Ballfield Road to Todd Pond Road with one lane remaining open; a Bedford Road drainage project will partially close the road from March through May, prompting discussion of tree root protection. Acting Chief Jon Wentworth reported that a Bedford Road speed study showed 85 percent of drivers exceeding the 35 mph posted limit, making a speed reduction unlikely; he will contact MassDOT regarding "Thickly Settled" signage.

John Vancor confirmed the Ballfield Road project remains in conceptual phase, with the committee planning to request a three to four week closure of the Lincoln Road slip lane in April or May for a pilot test.
