LINCOLN — Transportation Coalition discussed Ballfield Road campus redesign options at its July 16 meeting. The committee, chaired by Margaret Olson, weighed design considerations for a bike lane serving middle school students on the "Y" section of Ballfield Road but noted concerns about discontinuity once the lane ends. Brandon Kelly reported that the School Committee opposes promoting an actual bike path at that location.
The committee expects to review the next design iteration on August 20, with a cost estimate due by early September. In other business, John Vancor of IMEG confirmed that Citylogix completed initial data collection on Lincoln's approximately 50 miles of roads, with funding scenarios expected in August.
