LINCOLN — Water Commission approved extending Massport intern through August using operating budget. Staff reported the intern, who exhausted a 76-hour grant-funded allotment, significantly increased meter-installation productivity. The department completed $35,000 in cybersecurity upgrades to the Water Treatment Plant.
The Lincoln Road water-main replacement progressed two weeks behind schedule, with 800 feet of new main installed and bacteria testing passed. A statistical-modeling analysis approved by the Department of Environmental Protection reduced unknown lead service lines needing field verification from 963 to 206.
