Lincoln officials detail outdoor May 15 town meeting plan with 40 articles

LINCOLN — April 29, 2021 — Lincoln to hold its 2021 Annual Town Meeting outdoors under a Hartwell-lot tent on May 15. Town Moderator Sarah Cannon Holden, Select Board member Jennifer Glass and Town Administrator Tim Higgins used a pre-recorded broadcast to preview a 40-article warrant, 15 articles of which will move on a consent calendar covering senior tax work-off, building maintenance, state highway funds and post-retirement benefits. Substantive articles include renaming the Board of Selectmen to the Select Board, a Home Rule Circuit Breaker petition, historic district additions and four sustainability citizens petitions. Higgins reported 187 cumulative COVID cases, six active, 18 deaths, 200 residents vaccinated at four local clinics, and up to $2 million potentially coming to Lincoln under the American Rescue Plan. Masks will be required; the quorum is 100 voters; check-in opens 8:30 a.m.
