Lincoln Planning Board delays tree and deck plan for neighbor notice
Planning Board , Part 1 · Meeting of September 8, 2026
Lincoln Planning Board rules a tree and deck plan minor, then delays it anyway. The board voted 4-0 that removing 10 hazard trees and enlarging a deck and front porch at 95 South Great Road, sought by homeowner Krishna Kandarpa, qualifies as a minor site plan change, then voted 4-0 again to continue the hearing to September 22 so staff can informally notify two neighboring families. Member Susan Hall Mygatt said she was "not comfortable" approving the plan without confirming the neighbors knew about it, calling the notice process "not fair to the public." Architect Eve Eisenberg said one of the disputed pines fell on its own days after she emailed neighbors about further removals.
In business, the board unanimously named Gary Taylor its liaison to the Community Center Building Committee, and Director of Planning and Land Use Paula Von McKenzie disputed a resident complaint that town EV charging rates are too high, saying "we charge 41 cents."
