The committee unanimously approved 15 grants for 2012-13 — six at Lincoln, three at Hanscom and six cross-campus — with seven touching on technology, after foundation co-chair Karen Prince reported one $1,560 fast plants project was withdrawn from the originally presented $36,165 slate. METCO Director Latifah Frank reported the restructured half-time director/half-time academic advisor role had worked in year one, with Boston parent surveys returning similar results in September and March. Assistant Superintendent Mary Sterling, ELA leader Judy Mara and math leader Ellen Metzger laid out a two-year rollout of new state frameworks, with math fully implemented by 2013-14 and PARCC online tests projected around 2015. The committee also approved a $591,845 payroll warrant and $167,356.37 in accounts payable.
