Lincoln Select Board approves Tack Room outdoor service trial and firefighters' contract

LINCOLN — April 25, 2022 — Lincoln Select Board approves Tack Room outdoor service through year's end and a three-year firefighters' contract. The board, with member Jonathan Dwyer recused because his daughter works at the restaurant, voted 2-0 under Chapter 42 of the Acts of 2022 to let co-owner Brandon Bunnewith use roughly two-thirds of the front lawn at 145 Lincoln Road for picnic-table seating and canned beer, wine and cocktail service, with hours extended to 10 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Sunday and outdoor seating ending at 10 p.m. Bunnewith told the board he wants "to use it, but not abuse it." The board also unanimously approved a fire union contract for FY22 through FY24 with 2 percent, 2 percent and 2.5 percent raises plus a new hazardous-duty stipend, and authorized a 2022 Complete Streets application using roughly $250,000 to extend the Magnolia Path across Codman Road. Town Administrator Tim Higgins will meet virtually with MBTA and Keolis April 28 following an April 11 incident in which the Old Sudbury Road gates failed to lower as a train approached.
