Lincoln Select Board confirms March 26 town meeting and appoints town constable
LINCOLN — February 14, 2022 — Lincoln Select Board hears Codman Farms' five-year plan and confirms March 26 town meeting. Farm President Nancy Fleming and Farm Manager Pete Lowy told the board that farm-store sales tripled in 2020 and held through 2021, with a first-year market garden harvesting nearly $100,000 in flowers and produce. Treasurer Carol Lovell-Carmody said the farm has stopped drawing from its endowment to cover operating losses. Town Administrator Tim Higgins reported the ARPA working group has reached unanimous support for 11 projects totaling roughly $1.6 million, with about $300,000 held in reserve, and said tentative collective-bargaining agreements with police and fire will come to the board Feb. 28. On The Commons' possible nonprofit tax exemption, Higgins said "the ball is in the court of the new ownership group." The board voted 3-0 to appoint Robert Millian Jr. as town constable.
