Planning Board approves 22 Lincoln Road addition with six conditions

LINCOLN — February 8, 2022 — Lincoln Planning Board approves 22 Lincoln Road expansion to 10,671 square feet, attaches six conditions. The Feb. 8 vote, with Co-Chair Gary Taylor recused as an abutter, cleared a 4,029-square-foot addition to a 1927 home owned by Lu Yan Ping but explicitly withheld approval of a long-standing accessory apartment because its egress runs through a boiler room and fails current building code. Conditions include 8-to-10-foot minimum mitigation trees, a maintenance plan for 2,023 square feet of new porous pavement, and Conservation Commission sign-off on a generator added inside the 100-foot wetland buffer. Co-Chair Lynn DeLisi warned that contractor staging through the town office parking lot would be "tricky." The board also released $7,044.33 in dormant 53G funds to AT&T from a 2000 cell-tower review account; Taylor noted the underlying Omnipoint litigation cost Lincoln roughly $200,000 and became a national precedent.
