Lincoln Select Board endorses five Town Meeting articles, sets May 15 vote

LINCOLN -- April 5, 2021, Lincoln Select Board endorses five warrant articles and hears Council on Aging Zoom-bombing account. The board voted 3-0 to support amendments to the accessory-apartment bylaw and a new stormwater bylaw required under EPA's MS4 permit, and 3-0 to support two historic-district additions on Old Concord Road and Moccasin Hill Road. Council on Aging Director Abigail Butt described a Feb. 9 Zoom-bombing of her board meeting that included racial slurs aimed at a Black board member, sexually violent language and disruptive music; the COA has since switched to webinar format. "More communication is way better than less communication," Butt said. Public Health Director Tricia McKee reported nine new COVID-19 cases since April 1 and the closure of the Lincoln Preschool after two staff and two students tested positive; recent clinics vaccinated about 200 residents. Town Administrator Tim Higgins said the 40-article warrant will be signed at a special 8 a.m. meeting April 15 ahead of the May 15 Town Meeting.
