LINCOLN -- October 25, 2010, Lincoln Select Board nominates Wadsworth to Housing Commission and presses pause on Codman Farm rentals. The board unanimously forwarded Boston Foundation housing veteran Bob Wadsworth to the state for the Lincoln Housing Commission's state-designated seat, then declined to approve birthday-party rentals at the recently restored Codman Community Farms goat barn, funded by more than $140,000 in CPC money, until the town and farm revisit a 1998 MOU and a never-executed draft lease. "I'd like to press the pause button," board member Sarah said, citing accessibility, liability and "mission drift" as the farm moves into Pierce House-comparable rentals. Town Administrator Tim told the board that if Ballot Question 3 passes, Lincoln would face an additional $150,000 cut in state aid on top of an already-projected 10 percent decline; the Finance Committee has capped FY12 operating growth at 2 percent and ruled out an override.
