Lincoln selectmen approve National Grid gas main, open annual reappointments

LINCOLN — April 23, 2013 — Lincoln selectmen open April 23 meeting honoring Officer Sean Collier and clear National Grid gas line. Chair Peter Braun, Selectmen Renel Fredrickson and Noah Eckhouse devoted their announcements segment to the late MIT officer, who had served as a Lincoln special officer since Feb. 14, 2011, and to six Lincoln officers who joined the Watertown manhunt via NEMLEC, including SWAT member Bob Surrett. "If there's one word I'd use to describe how I feel about them right now, it's just proud," Eckhouse said. The board unanimously approved a National Grid petition for 785 feet of two-inch gas main in Deerhaven Road and approved a wide consent list of committee reappointments. Town Administrator Tim Higgins also announced the resignation of Assistant Town Administrator Anita Scheipers, who is leaving for the town administrator job in Hubbardston the week of May 24, and a May 9 public hearing on Comcast license renewal ahead of the Sept. 18 expiration.
