Select Board appoints new Parks and Recreation, Planning leaders in unanimous votes

LINCOLN -- February 8, 2021, Lincoln Select Board fills two senior staff positions and previews first vaccine clinic. The board on Feb. 8 unanimously appointed Jessica Downing, a nine-year Andover recreation veteran, as Director of Parks and Recreation, and promoted Jennifer Curtin from the Conservation Department to Assistant Director of Planning and Land Use. Public Health Nurse Trish McGeehan said Lincoln will receive 100 COVID-19 doses for a Thursday clinic at Lincoln North, with about two-thirds of slots filled during a single four-hour phone bank at Bemis Hall. Green Energy Committee member CJ Volpone reported 150 opt-outs and 61 opt-ups to 100 percent renewable among roughly 2,200 auto-enrolled customers ahead of the March launch. The board also appointed Laura Redgroot to the Conservation Commission over Linda McMillan and reappointed constables Robert Millian Jr. and Joseph Topol. Town Administrator Tim Higgins said town counsel Lauren Goldberg of KP Law will lead a multi-board Housing Choice workshop tentatively set for March 16.
