Select Board approves Oriole Landing sale to National Development on 3-0 vote
LINCOLN — January 18, 2022 — Lincoln Select Board unanimously approves sale of Oriole Landing affordable housing to National Development affiliate. Meeting Jan. 18, the board took two 3-0 roll-call votes — first certifying that current owner Civico Oriole Lincoln LLC is in compliance with the project's regulatory agreement, then approving the transfer of 1 Mary's Way to ND Lincoln LLC, "contingent on the restrictions and agreements that currently encumber the project remaining in place and running with the property in perpetuity." Town Administrator Tim Higgins said the Regional Housing Services Office performed due diligence after Civico's Dec. 24 Notice of Intended Sale. National Development's Pat McKinney told the board ND Communities manages roughly 3,000 units across greater Boston, including about 340 affordable. Director of Planning Paula Vaughn-McKenzie pressed for a single point of contact, citing residents' expectation of "concierge service"; McKinney named asset management head Jessica Bonapain. Board member James Craig confirmed the buyer is a for-profit taxpayer.
